FLIGHT SAFETY PART
The main rotor pitch housing is a flight safety part. Failure to follow maintenance instructions
may result in serious injury or death of crewmembers and/or serious damage to the helicopter.
Pitch housings are matched according to weight. Maximum weight should not exceed 26.9 pounds.
Opposite housings must be within 1.5 pounds of each other. Weigh the pitch housing/s and record the
weight/s on DA form 2408-16, in block 6.C below the serial number of the respective pitch housing.
Prior to installation, match marks on pitch housings to facilitate proper installation, i.e., 1 opposite 3
and 2 opposite 4, or A opposite C and B opposite D.
