1.28.3. Servicing
NOTE
The level in the sight indicator may
appear high immediately after shut-
down. Wait 15 minutes after shutdown
for NGB oil level to stabilize.
Add oil to NGB only if the level in the
sight indicator is at or below the quar-
ter level on the sight indicator (one
quarter level is 0.18 inch above the
bottom of sight indicator).
Refer to TB 55-9150-200-24 for con-
version of oils MIL-L-23699 and
MIL-L-7808. Failure to perform the re-
quired checks and services can result
in contamination of the affected oil
system.
This task is typical for left and/or right
engine nose gearbox.
