CAUTION
Do this task if environmental control unit (ENCU) malfunctions are reported; or if ENCU compressor
makes unusual sounds. To prevent damage to ENCU, do not clean if temperature is below 32 F
(0 C).
High pressure water/air can damage helicopter components and electrical wiring. Use only hand-
cleaning methods in catwalk and engine-bay areas, or where damage to components or electrical
wiring may occur.
Do not spill solvent on adjacent parts or surfaces, especially under the work area. Mask roller and
ball bearings exposed to solvent. Mask wiring, surface openings, and seams.
