10.11.6. Installation
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
a. Install valve (1).
(1) Aline mounting holes of valve (1) with holes in
mounting pad (5).
(2) Install three bolts (3) and washers (4).
(3) Lubricate threads of valve (1). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(4) Hold valve (1). Install nut (2) on valve (1). Use
crowfoot and open end wrench.
b. Inspect (QA).
c. Install forward fuel cell aft access panel and
aft cover (para 10.8).
