G-18.13
G.1A.
HELICOPTER WEIGHING (AIRCRAFT ON PLATFORM SCALES) continued
NOTE
Some automated weight and balance systems will not permit the calculation of Corrected ARM as
described in step i. The following alternate procedure may be used: Skip steps i, j, k, and l. Transfer
data in block 15 (total as weighed weight), block 18 (ARM), and block 21 (moment) to blocks 24, 29,
and 32. Multiply result of Figure G-5A (CG Correction Factor) and block 24 to obtain the non-level
moment correction and record (as a positive value) in MOMENT column, block 22. Continue with step
l.
i. Using H (Arm as weighed) block 9 and Plumb-bob Angle (a) block 4, read CG Correction Factor on
graph, Figure G-5A. Add the CG Correction Factor to the value in block 9 and enter result as the
corrected ARM in block 10 Figure G-3A, and on reverse side Figure G-4A at block 29 and at block 23
REMARKS.
j. Transfer data in block 15 to block 24 on reverse side of DD Form 365-2.
k. Multiply block 24 (net weight) with block 29 (ARM) and record result (moment) in block 32.
l. Record Gear correction (950 INCH-POUND) in MOMENT column, block 22.
m. Calculate total moment of items not part of basic weight.
(1) Multiply weight and ARM of items not part of helicopter basic weight and record each result in MOMENT
column, block 22.
(2) Add all weights of items not part of helicopter basic weight and enter sum in TOTAL row of WEIGHT
column, block 22.
(3) Add all moments of plumb-bob, bracket, and other items not part of helicopter basic weight and record sum
in TOTAL row of MOMENT column, block 22.
n. Transfer total weight in block 22 to block 25.
o. Transfer total weight in block 22 to block 33.
p. Record basic weight items not in helicopter at time of weighting in block 31 and calculate total weight
and moment of these items (if any).
(1) Record weight and ARM of each individual basic weight item not in the helicopter at time of weighting in
WEIGHT and ARM column, block 31.
(2) Multiply weight and ARM of each individual basic weight item not in the helicopter at time of weighing and
record each result in MOMENT column, block 31.
(3) Add all weights of basic weight items not in the helicopter at time of weighing and record sum in TOTAL row
and WEIGHT column, block 31.
(4) Add all moments of basic weight items not in the helicopter at time of weighing and record sum in TOTAL
row of MOMENT column, block 31.
