WARNING
Make certain that helicopter safing procedures are accomplished.
Observe all safety precautions during troubleshooting and maintenance.
Failure to do so could result in death or serious injury.
Jet engine fuel is explosive, flammable, and toxic to skin, eyes, and
respiratory tract. Work in a well-ventilated area away from open flames.
Wear protective clothing. If fuel comes in contact with eyes or skin, flush
with water and get medical aid.
Do not allow sparks or flame near helicopter when servicing or
performing maintenance on fuel system.
Make certain helicopter is grounded.
NOTE
Refer to pilot station (fig. 1077) cockpit configuration and equipment.
If referenced out of one paragraph or volume and into another for
additional troubleshooting, upon completion of the task, return to the
maintenance operational check for the original paragraph or volume.
1. Ensure that fuel truck is grounded (TM 1-1520-238-23).
2. Install static ground between helicopter and fuel truck (TM 1-1520-238-23).
