The fire control system has computed the range to the
target or waypoint indicated in the TGT/NAV indexer. This
range will increase or decrease dynamically with helicopter
ground track. Commanded by placing the ACQ SEL switch
in the TGT or NAV position. The displayed index storage
location must have valid coordinate data. Range displayed
is in kilometers.
Laser range is being used by the CPG. The displayed laser
range will increase or decrease for about 4 seconds after
stopping the laser. The increase or decrease in range is
based on the helicopter ground track relationship with the
object lased. Laser range is in meters.
