3.6.1 Antennas.
The FM-AM No. 1 (pilot) communica-
tion antenna (fig 3-1) is mounted on the vertical stabilizer
as an integral part of the trailing edge assembly. Some he-
licopters have an FM-AM whip antenna mounted on top of
the vertical stabilizer replacing the trailing edge antenna.
The FM-AM No. 2 (CPG) communication blade antenna is
mounted on the bottom center fuselage area directly for-
ward of the doppler antenna fairing.
3.6.2 Controls and Functions.
Controls for the AN/
ARC-186(V) transceiver are on the front panel (fig 3-4) of
the unit. The function of each control is as shown in table
3-3.
