Check rotor brake disk for pitting and corro-sion in non-contact areas (para 1.49).(1) Replace disk if pitting exceeds 0.010 INCHdeep. Use depth gage.d. Check rotor brake disk for grooves in brakepad contact area.(1) Replace disk if grooves exceed 0.007 INCHdeep or have sharp edges. Use depth gage.6.66.6. Installationa. Install disk (5) on shaft (8).(1) Slide disk (5) on shaft (8) with hub (12) towardtransmission (2).(2) Hand tighten locknut (4) on shaft (8).b. Install actuator (9) on transmission (2). Torquetwo bolts (10) to 1175 INCH-POUNDS.(1) Position actuator (9) on transmission (2) anddisk (5).(2) Install two bolts (10) through washers (11)and actuator (9).(3) Torque two bolts (10) to 1175 INCH-POUNDS. Use hexagon screwdriver andtorque wrench.c. Inspect (QA).NOTEEnsure maintenance fixture is installed (iftransmission is removed), before torqu-ing locknut.d.
