NO. 1 ENGINE UPPER FUEL SUPPLY HOSE REPLACEMENT – continued
10.106.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks, nicks, gouges, or damaged threads
(para 10.1).
10.106.6. Installation
a. Install hose (1) on valve (10).
(1) Lubricate new gasket (13) on both sides. Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(2) Place gasket (13) and hose flange (14) on
flange of valve (10).
(3) Install four bolts (11) and washers (12).
b. Install hose (1) on hose (8).
(1) Lubricate hose fitting (15). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) One person hold hose (8) in ammunition bay.
Use strap wrench.
(3) Second person install hose nut (2) on fitting
(15) on transmission deck (9). Use open end
wrench.
c. Install clamp (3) on hose (1).
(1) Aline clamp (3) screw hole with clamp (4)
screw hole.
(2) Install screw (5) through screw holes in
clamps (3) and (4).
(3) Hold screw (5). Install washer (7) and nut (6)
on screw (5).
