CYCLIC STICK WEAPONS ACTION SWITCH REPLACEMENT – continued
11.51.6. Installation
WARNING
Soldering iron can cause severe
burns to personnel and start fires.
Observe all safety precautions when
using soldering iron. If injury occurs,
seek medical aid.
a. Solder wires (6) to switch (4).
(1) Solder identified wires (6) to switch (4). Use
soldering iron and solder (item 189, App F)
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
b. Inspect (QA).
WARNING
Ensure wiring inside the cyclic grip is
properly restrained with lacing tape
prior to reassembly. Failure to comply
may cause uncommanded firing of a
weapon system.
c. Install switch (4) on grip (5).
(1) Apply a small bead of adhesive to mating
surface of switch mounting shoulder (7). Use
adhesive (item 14, App F).
(2) Install switch (4) in mounting slot with location
boss (8) down.
(3) Restrain wires (6) (TM 55-1500-323-24). Use
tape (item 202, App F).
