NOTE
The Contingency Power portion (8.2.g.) of
the TGT Limiter/Contingency Power check
may be accomplished in conjunction with
the Maximum Power check providing the
last engine was TGT limited and not NG lim-
ited.
k. PWR lever, non-test engine FLY.
l. Repeat steps a. thru k. for opposite
engine as required.
m. To establish the engine torque
factor (ETF) and aircraft torque
factor (ATF), refer to
TM 55-2840-248-23.
8.1. Engine Performance Check, Maximum
Power, Non-Limiting method.
WARNING
A safe AGL altitude must be maintained
to allow sufficient reaction time if the en-
gine being tested fails, or if other emer-
gency situations occur.
CAUTION
To avoid torque oscillations when mak-
ing performance checks, a torque split of
at least 10% will be held between en-
gines.
