The CDU checks the parameters of all data
entered into the scratchpad. Any nonvalid characters are
flagged as erroneous. Valid parameters are shown in
table 3-20.

Up to 20 waypoints can be entered into the way-
point dictionary at one time. The waypoint dictionary
pages are accessed via the FPLN FAB. If the CPG de-
sires to change display modes (UTM or LATT/LONG) be-
fore making entries into the waypoint dictionary, perform
steps 1 and 2. If the mode does not need to be changed,
go to step 3.
1. ADMIN Press. Observe that the ADMIN page
is displayed.
2. MODE UTM Press. Observe that MODE UTM
changes to MODE L/L or vice versa and after
three seconds the NAV top level present posi-
tion page is displayed.
3. FPLN FAB Press. Observe that FPLN way-
point dictionary page 1 is displayed (Waypoints
home, 1 and 2).

4. Enter the desired coordinates into the scratch-
pad.
