4.19 CYCLIC AND COLLECTIVE MISSION
EQUIPMENT SWITCHES.
The cyclic and collective have several switches used for
the mission equipment (fig 2-26).
4.19.1 Cyclic Switches.

(WAS)
A five position momentary switch which actions the selected weapon and removes the
electrical trigger interlock. The actioned weapon may be deselected by reactioning the
same weapon or by selecting another weapon.

Actions the 30mm Gun (12:00 position on the WAS).
R
Actions the Aerial Rocket system (9:00 position on the WAS).
M
Actions the Hellfire missile system (3:00 position on the WAS).
C
Fires the chaff, if Chaff system armed (6:00 position on the WAS).
Flight
Symbology
Mode Switch
A three position momentary switch which permits the selection of the different flight
symbology modes. Cruise and Transition, alternately, in the forward position and
Hover and Bob-up in the aft position.
Trigger
A two position guarded trigger which enables weapons firing. The first detent is for
normal selected weapons usage; the second will override the selected weapons
performance inhibits but not the safety inhibits of the selected weapon.
