4.28 HIGH ACTION DISPLAY (HAD).
CAUTION
With the PLT/GND switch in the ORIDE
position and the CPG SIGHT SELECT
switch set to NVS, the HAD is disabled.
The 30mm gun can be actioned without
any messages in weapon control or
weapon status. This can result in dam-
age during takeoff or landing if the 30mm
gun is actioned and depressed inadver-
tently.
The HAD (fig 4-18) provides information to the pilot and
CPG for use in operation of the mission equipment.
The HAD is located along the bottom of the displayed
symbology and is split into two fields by the gimbal limits
box. The two fields on either side of the gimbal limits dis-
play are further subdivided for a total of four message
fields: sight status, range and range source on the left,
weapon status, and opposite crew station weapon control.

4-18, weapons status, and 4-19, opposite crew station
weapon control list the messages and location.
