WARNING
The shock strut contains high pres-
sure nitrogen. Care must be taken
when performing maintenance on the
strut. Sudden release of high pressure
nitrogen could cause injury to person-
nel or damage to equipment. If injury
occurs, seek medical aid.
3.40.3. Removal
a. Deflate shock strut (1).
(1) Remove valve cap (2).
(2) Slowly turn nut (3) one turn counterclockwise
to open pneumatic valve (4).
(3) Turn nut (3) one turn clockwise to close valve
(4) after pressure has been released.
(4) Install cap (2).
