REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
6.94.3. Removal
a. Remove standpipe (1) from rotor hub (2).
(1) Lift standpipe (1) from hub (2).
6.94.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe standpipe and mounting surfaces with a
clean rag.
6.94.5. Inspection
a. Check standpipe for cracks. None allowed.
b. Check standpipe for corrosion (para 1.49).
c. Check transmission rotor hub plate nuts for
looseness or damage. None allowed.
6.94.6. Installation
CAUTION
To prevent damage to standpipe, do not
misaline standpipe during installation.
a. Install standpipe (1) in hub (2).
(1) Position standpipe (1) with two keys (3) and
cutout (4) facing forward.
(2) Slide standpipe (1) in hub (2).
(3) Ensure that lower keys (3) engage in key
slots.
(4) Standpipe (1) must not rotate.
b. Inspect (QA).
c. Install main rotor flexible support (para 6.93).
