INTERMEDIATE GEARBOX ACCELEROMETER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
6.129.6. Installation
a. Install accelerometer (1) on gearbox (2).
Torque accelerometer (1) to 23 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Install accelerometer (1) on gearbox (2).
(2) Torque accelerometer (1) to 23 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(3) Apply a 1/8 inch bead of sealant around base
of accelerometer (1). Use brush (item 34,
App F) and sealing compound (item 176,
App F).
(a) Allow sealant to air dry for 1 HOUR at
room temperature.
(4) Attach connector P59 (3) to accelerometer
(1).
b. Inspect (QA).
c. Install access fairings L510 and R510 (para
2.2).
d. Perform drive system vibration maintenance
operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
