FORWARD FUEL CELL FLAPPER VALVE REPLACEMENT – continued
10.9.6. Installation
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
a. Install valve (1) in forward fuel cell (2).
(1) Aline plate (6) with valve (1).
NOTE
Flapper valves with elastic stop nuts do
not use washers.
(2) Install four bolts (3).
(3) Hold four bolts (3). Install four washers (5)
and nuts (4).
b. Inspect (QA).
c. Install forward fuel cell aft access panel and
aft access cover (para 10.8).
