10.8.6. Installation
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
a. Install cover (11). Torque bolts (15) to 60 INCH-
POUNDS.
(1) Lubricate new packing (17). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (17) on pad (18).
(3) Install cover (11) on pad (18). Aline bolt holes.
(4) Install 23 washers (16) and bolts (15).
(5) Install bolt (12) through washer (13), bonding
strap (14), cover (11), and pad (18).
(6) Torque 23 bolts (15) and one bolt (12) to 60
INCH-POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
b. Inspect (QA).
