AFT FUEL CELL FUEL LEVEL CONTROL PILOT VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
10.37.3. Removal
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
a. Remove aft fuel cell fuel level control pilot
valve (1).
(1) Hold nipple (2). Remove nut (3).
(2) Remove four bolts (4) and washers (5) from
valve (1) and mounting pad (6).
b. Remove valve (1) from fuel cell.
c. Remove nipple (2) from valve (1).
(1) Remove nipple (2).
(2) Remove and discard packing (7).
10.37.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.37.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks, nicks, gouges, and dents (para 10.1).
