10.53.4. Installation
NOTE
Broken pieces of foam may be re-
joined using sealing compound
(item 162, App F).
Foam components may be trimmed or
compressed and must conform to the
contour of the inner structure.
A minimum of 90 percent void fill must
be maintained.
a. Fabricate plug (3) from filler.
(1) Cut filler to match shape of repair cavity (4).
Use knife and filler (item 81, App F).
(2) Lightly sand all rough edges of plug (3). Use
paper (item 132, App F).
(3) Check fit of plug (3) to ensure it matches the
repair cavity (4), before using sealing com-
pound.
