(6) Apply a thin even coat of adhesive over repair
area. Use brush (item 36, App F) and
adhesive (item 5, App F).
NOTE
Ensure that no gaps exist between
lapped edges of liner.
(7) Position patch (6) over sealed plug (3), ensur-
ing a ONE INCH overlap exists with liner (1).
(8) Apply an even coat of adhesive over patch
(6), ensuring kevlar is completely wet with
adhesive. Use brush (item 36, App F) and
adhesive (item 5, App F).
(9) Allow adhesive to cure 43 HOURS at ambient
temperature.
(10) Lightly sand repair area. Remove sharp
edges or burrs. Use paper (item 132, App F).
(11) Clean repair area of all debris and foreign
objects. Use vacuum cleaner.
(12) Check for air bubbles, sharp or frayed edges,
gaps at lapped edges, and adhesive starved
or adhesive rich areas.
d. Inspect (QA).
e. Install forward or aft fuel cell backing board
(para 10.51).
