CPG FUEL PANEL BOOST PUMP SWITCH REPLACEMENT (AVIM) – continued
10.67.5. Inspection
a. Check wires for damaged connections, cuts,
and wear (para 10.1).
b. Check panel for cracks, dents, and damaged
hardware. None allowed.
10.67.6. Installation
a. Install switch (7) in support panel (8).
(1) Insert switch (7) through lockwasher (10), key
washer (11), and panel (8) so that tab (12)
seats in locator hole (13).
(2) Adjust length of switch (7) through panel (8).
Use adjustment nut (14).
(3) Install nut (9).
WARNING
Soldering iron can cause severe
burns to personnel and start fires.
Observe all safety precautions when
using soldering iron. If injury occurs,
seek medical aid.
b. Solder seven identified wires (6) on switch (7).
(1) Solder seven identified wires (6) to terminals
(15) on switch (7). Use solder (item 189,
App F)
and
soldering
iron
(TM 55-1500-323-24).
c. Perform continuity test on seven wires (6).
Use multimeter (TM 55-1500-323-24).
