FUEL MANIFOLD NIPPLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
10.95.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.95.5. Inspection
a. Check housing, nipple, poppet, and spider for
cracks. None allowed.
b. Check housing and nipple attachment area for
corrosion (para 1.49).
10.95.6. Installation
a. Install nipple in housing (2).
(1) Lubricate new packing (7). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (7) in nipple (1).
(3) Install spider (6), spring (5), poppet (4), and
nipple (1) in housing (2).
(4) Install six screws (3).
b. Inspect (QA).
c. Perform fuel system refuel/defuel mainte-
nance operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
d. Install access cover R180 (para 2.2).
