10.100.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.100.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for nicks,
dents, cracks, and damaged threads (para
10.1).
b. Check electrical connector for cracks and dis-
torted, burned, corroded, or bent contacts
(para 10.1).
c. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
10.100.6. Installation
a. Install valve (4) on bracket (12) and valve (16).
(1) Lubricate new packing (20). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (20) in groove on valve (4).
(3) Position valve (4) on bracket (12) and valve
(16).
(4) Install four nuts (17) and washers (18) on
studs (19).
(5) Install two bolts (13), washers (15), and nuts
(14).
(6) Perform electrical bond check on two bolts
(13) (TM 55-1500-323-24).
(a) Bond shall be 1.0 OHM or less. Use
multimeter.
