10.99.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.99.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for nicks,
cracks, gouges, and damaged threads (para
10.1).
b. Check electrical connector for cracks and dis-
torted, burned, corroded, or bent contacts
(para 10.1).
c. Check removed and attaching parts for corro-
sion (para 1.49).
10.99.6. Installation
a. Install valve (4) on valve (19).
(1) Lubricate new packing (23). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (23) in groove on valve (4).
(3) Position valve (4) on valve (19).
(4) Install four nuts (20) and washers (21) on
studs (22).
b. Install support (12) on bracket (16).
(1) Position support (12) on bracket (16) and
aline mounting holes.
(2) Install three screws (17) and washers (18).
