10.115.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.115.5. Inspection
a. Check hose, valve, and pump for cracks,
nicks, cuts, and damaged threads (para 10.1).
10.115.6. Installation
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
a. Install hose (1) on pump (4).
(1) Lubricate threads of fitting (5). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(2) Hold fitting (5). Use open end wrench. Install
nut (6).
b. Install hose (1) on valve (2).
(1) Lubricate threads of valve (2). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(2) Hold valve (2). Install nut (3).
