AFT FUEL CELL NITROGEN INERT BREAKAWAY VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
d. Remove aft fuel cell fuel access panel (1).
(1) Remove sealing compound from around pan-
el (1).
(2) Remove 56 screws (2) and packings with re-
tainers (3). Discard packings with retainers.
(3) Remove 20 bolts (4) and packings with re-
tainers (3). Discard packings with retainers.
e. Remove nitrogen inert breakaway valve (5).
(1) Remove nut (6) from valve (5).
(2) Remove two bolts (7) and washers (8).
(3) Remove valve (5) from cover (9).
(4) Remove and discard packing (10).
10.119.4. Cleaning
a. Clean valve, attaching hardware, and mount-
ing surface of cover (para 1.47).
b. Clean sealing compound residue from access
panel and mounting area on transmission
deck (para 1.47).
10.119.5. Inspection
a. Check access panel for nicks, dents, and
cracks (para 10.1).
b. Check valve for cracks, nicks, dents, and
breaks (para 10.1).
c. Check valve for corrosion (para 1.49).
