AFT FUEL CELL NITROGEN INERT OUTLET ORIFICE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
g. Remove aft fuel cell access cover (12).
(1) Remove 24 bolts (13) and washers (14).
(2) Lift cover (12) from fuel cell.
(3) Remove and discard cover packing (15).
h. Remove nitrogen inert orifice (16) from cover
(12).
(1) Hold retaining nut (10). Remove orifice (16).
(2) Hold nut (17) of adapter (9). Remove retain-
ing nut (10) and washer (18). Discard washer
(18).
(3) Remove adapter (9) and packing with retain-
er (19) from cover (12). Discard packing with
retainer (19).
10.120.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
b. Clean sealing compound residue from access
panel and mounting area on transmission
deck (para 1.47).
c. Clean packing from around cover mounting
holes for orifice adapter (para 1.47).
10.120.5. Inspection
a. Check access panel and access cover for
nicks, dents, and cracks (para 10.1).
b. Check orifice and union for dents, cracks, and
damaged threads (para 10.1).
