NITROGEN INERTING UNIT (NIU) PRESSURIZED AIR SUPPLY INLET HOSE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
d. Remove NIU pressurized air supply inlet hose
(1) from NIU (2) in ammunition bay.
(1) Hold union (3). Remove nut (4).
(2) Remove hose (1) from union (3).
(3) Hold NIU fitting (5). Remove nut (6).
(4) Remove hose (1) from NIU (2).
10.128.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.128.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for nicks,
dents, cracks, and stripped or damaged
threads (para 10.1).
10.128.6. Installation
a. Install hose (1) on NIU (2). Torque nuts (4) and
(6) to 120 INCH-POUNDS.
(1) Install nut (4) on tube union (3).
(a) Hold union (3).
(b) Install nut (4) on union (3).
(c) Torque nut (4) to 120 INCH-POUNDS.
Use torque wrench.
