10.129. NITROGEN INERTING UNIT (NIU) COOLING AIR INLET HOSE
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
10.129.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe inner and outer hose-mount area of
hose with a clean rag.
b. Wipe inner and outer hose-mount area of left
port of NIU and left vent with a clean rag.
10.129.5. Inspection
a. Check cooling air inlet hose for chafing, tears,
or breaks. None allowed.
b. Check left port of NIU and left vent for nicks,
dents, or cracks (para 10.1).
10.129.6. Installation
a. Install hose (1).
(1) Slide clamp (14) over end of hose (1).
(2) Place end of hose (1) over left port (15) of NIU
(2).
(3) Tighten screw of clamp (14) to secure hose
(1) to left port (15) of NIU (2).
(4) Slide clamp (12) over free end of hose (1).
Position at NIU clamp support bracket (13).
NOTE
To prevent screw from chaffing NIU unit,
screw (10) should be installed flush with
no screw protrusion past nut.
(5) Install screw (10) through washer (11) and
clamp (12) into bracket (13).
