10.139. AUXILIARY FUEL TANK INSTALLATION – continued
WARNING
Three repairers are necessary to
install auxiliary fuel tank. Two repair-
ers lift tank while third repairer aids by
guiding tank into suspension hooks
and quick-disconnect couplings.
CAUTION
Ensure smaller air line is installed at aft
quick-disconnect coupling.
NOTE
Quick-disconnect couplings must have
some looseness to ensure a proper fit.
e. Install tank (2).
(1) Lift tank (2).
(2) Install lugs (5) on pylon suspension hooks
(12).
(3) Lift tank (2) upward until suspension hooks
lock, and hook indicator (14) points to HOOK
LOCKED.
f. Install ground safety quick-release pin (9) in
ejector rack.
(1) Push button (11) and insert pin (9) into ejector
rack (10).
