10.140. AUXILIARY FUEL TANK REMOVAL – continued
d. Loosen four ejector rack sway braces (13).
(1) Loosen locknuts (14).
(2) Loosen sway braces (13).
(3) Hold sway braces (13). Tighten locknuts (14).
e. Remove ground safety quick-release pin (15)
from ejector rack (16).
(1) Push button (17). Remove pin (15) from ejec-
tor rack (16).
NOTE
Three repairers are necessary to remove
auxiliary fuel tank. While one repairer re-
leases suspension hook locks, two re-
pairers restrain and lower tank.
f. Remove auxiliary fuel tank (18).
(1) Ensure tank (18) is empty.
(2) While two repairers restrain tank (18), one
repairer turns manual release socket drive
(19) to unlock suspension hooks (20). Lower
tank (18).
