FLIGHT CONTROL SYSTEM BEARING/BUSHING REPLACEMENT (AVIM) continued
CAUTION
Hydraulic ram pressure is not staking pressure. Maximum hydraulic ram pressure refers to maximum
pressure allowed to press fit bearing/bushing into mating bore using a hydraulic arbor press. This
pressure shall not exceed 500 times the bearing/bushing OD.
NOTE
This task is typical for bearing/bushing removal and installation procedures for various bellcranks,
brackets, housings, arms, etc., within the flight control system. Refer to Table 11-1 to determine the
applicable parts, mating bore size, bearing/bushing OD, type of fit, type plating, maximum hydraulic
press ram pressure allowed, and applicable notes. The notes block lists applicable tools, expendables,
and special instructions. The (FSP) in the Next Higher Assembly block identifies flight safety parts.
Read all special instructions before starting removal or installation procedures.
