MAIN ROTOR SWASHPLATE INSTALLATION continued
g. Install torque link (6) on swashplate (2). Torque
bolt (18) 75 to 91 FOOT-POUNDS.
(1) Aline link (6) and swashplate (2).
(2) Install bushing (19) in swashplate (2).
CAUTION
Threads of bolt and nut shall be clean
and compound free. Contaminated
threads can cause improper torque,
which may cause damage to flight control
system.
NOTE
A maximum of two washers are allowed
under bolt head (if required) to ensure
bushing clamp-up alines with pin hole.
(3) Apply a light coat of corrosion preventive
compound to shank of bolt (18). Use
corrosion preventive compound (item 62A,
App F).
(4) Install bolt (18) through washer(s) (20), bush-
ing (19), swashplate (2), and link (6).
(5) Check fit of self-retaining bolt (18) (para
11.1).
(6) Install nut (21).
(7) Hold nut (21). Use open end wrench.
(8) Torque bolt (18) to 75 FOOT-POUNDS. Use
torque wrench and socket.
(9) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 91 FOOT-POUNDS.
(10) Install new cotter pin (22).
(11) Apply sealing compound around bolt (18)
head, washer (20), and nut (21). Use sealing
compound (item 176, App F).
