PILOT DIRECTIONAL SHEAR PIN ACTIVATED DECOUPLER (SPAD) ASSEMBLY
DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY (AVIM) – continued
e. Install shaft (8) on bellcrank (2).
(1) Install shaft (8) through bellcrank (2), cam
(14), and lever (13).
NOTE
Ensure that shaft arm, cam valley, and
lever tip are facing the same direction.
(2) Aline cam (14) and lever (13) with holes in
shaft (8).
(3) Install two new rivets (12) in cam (14) and
lever (13) (TM 1-1500-204-23).
f. Install guide (7) on shaft (8).
(1) Install pin (10) through guide (7) and washer
(11).
(2) Install new cotter pin (9).
g. Install guide (1) and spring (6) on bellcrank
(2).
(1) Aline spring (6) between guides (7) and (1).
(2) Install pin (4) through bellcrank (2), guide (1),
and washer (5).
(3) Install new cotter pin (3).
h. Inspect (QA).
i. Install directional SPAD switch (para 11.64).
