DIRECTIONAL F.S. 156.07 BELLCRANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
CAUTION
To prevent damage to flight control sys-
tem components, do not use force to
aline push-pull rod with bellcrank.
b. Install rod ends (1) and (2) on bellcrank (3).
Torque nuts (5) and (10) 30 to 40 INCH-
POUNDS.
(1) Aline rod end (2) with hole (22) in bellcrank
(3).
(2) Install bolt (12) through washer (13), bell-
crank (3), and rod end (2).
(3) Install bushing (11) and nut (10) on bolt (12).
(4) Aline rod end (1) with hole (21) in bellcrank
(3).
(5) Install bolt (7) through washer (8), bellcrank
(3), and rod end (1).
(6) Install bushing (6) and nut (5) on bolt (7).
(7) Torque nuts (5) and (10) to 30 INCH-
POUNDS. Use torque wrench.
(8) Increase torque to aline cotter pin hole, but do
not exceed 40 INCH-POUNDS.
(9) Install new cotter pins (4) and (9).
c. Inspect (QA).
d. Perform directional flight control rigging
maintenance
operational
check
(TM 1-1520-238-T).
e. If removed install forward fuel cell retainer
panel (para 10.52A).
