y. Make entries in log book, maintenance, and historical records as required (TM 1-1500-204-23).
(1) Place logbook and records in bag.
(2) Seal and secure logbook and records to pilot seat. Use tape (item 207, App F).
z. Fasten all safety belts and shoulder harnesses and tighten to eliminate slack.
(1) Roll and secure loose ends of webbing. Use rubber band (item 151, App F).
aa. Wrap and secure technical manuals, fire extinguishers, headsets, first-aid kits, and clock. Use barrier
material (item 32, App F) and tape (item 207, App F).
(1) Pack all items in a fiberboard box, label, and store in hangar or building.
ab. Enter pilot station (para 1.56). Observe all safety precautions.
(1) De-energize circuit breakers at main panels.
(2) Friction down cyclic and collective sticks.
(3) Check that all equipment in pilot station is secure.
ac. Enter CPG station (para 1.56). Observe all safety precautions.
(1) De-energize circuit breakers at main panels.
(2) Friction down cyclic and collective sticks.
(3) Check that all equipment in CPG station is secure.
ad. Install protective covers (para 1.59).
(1) Seal and secure static air pressure vent, APU intake, and all fuselage openings. Use barrier material
(item 32, App F) and tape (item 207, App F).
ae. Preserve TADS/PNVS turret as required (TM 9-1090-208-23-1) and (TM 1-5855-265-20).
NOTE
Aircraft in storage will be periodically inspected in accordance with applicable local directives and
TM 1-1500-204-23.
af. Perform helicopter mooring procedures (para 1.76).
ag. Inspect (QA).
