c. Perform engine washing procedures (TM 55-1500-344-23) and (TM 55-2840-248-23).
d. Perform engine intermediate storage preservation procedures (TM 55-2840-248-23).
e. Perform environmental control unit cleaning (para 1.48).
f. Perform APU cleaning (TM 55-1500-344-23).
g. Perform auxiliary power unit storage preservation procedures (para E.11).
h. Download area weapon, rockets, and/or missiles as required (TM 9-1090-208-23-1).
i. Clean area weapon (TM 9-1090-208-23-1).
j. Remove external stores jettison firing cartridges (para 16.3).
k. Clean helicopter (TM 55-1500-344-23).
l. Inspect helicopter for corrosion and perform appropriate corrosion control procedures (para 1.49).
m. Remove main rotor blades (para 5.3).
n. Store main rotor blades.
(1) Clean blades (TM 55-1500-344-23).
(2) Apply corrosion preventive compound (item 62, App F) to mating surfaces of blades.
(3) Wrap and secure areas of blade that contact box supports. Use barrier material (item 32, App F) and tape
(item 207, App F).
(4) Place blades in shipping containers and store in hangar or building.
o. Apply corrosion preventive compound to exposed metal surfaces of tail rotor blades. Use corrosion
preventive compound (item 62, App F).
(1) Wrap and secure tail rotor blades. Use barrier material (item 32, App F) and tape (item 207, App F).
p. Preserve forward and aft fuel cells (TM 1-1500-204-23).
