Itcan cause injury to personnel or dam-age the tail boom if dropped. Twopeople should lift the gearbox intoposition on the stabilizer mount studs.CAUTIONIf installing a new gearbox, DO NOT addgrease to gearbox. Gearbox is factory lu-bricated.a. Install gearbox (2) on stabilizer (7). Torque sen-sor (13) to 30 INCH-POUNDS. Torque four nuts(10) to 175 INCH-POUNDS.(1) Apply primer to mounting surface of gearbox(2) and stabilizer (7). Use epoxy primercoating kit (item 78, App F).(a) Allow primer to cure 2 HOURS.(2) Install sensor (13) on gearbox (2).(3) Torque sensor (13) to 30 INCH-POUNDS.Use crowfoot and torque wrench.(4) Install gearbox (2) on four studs (12).(5) Install four washers (11) and nuts (10) onstuds (12).(6) Torque four nuts (10) to 175 INCH-POUNDS.Use torque wrench.GO TO NEXT PAGEM04-555-131310111272
