10.19.5. Inspection
a. Check removed and attaching parts for
cracks, nicks, gouges, and damaged threads
(para 10.1).
10.19.6. Installation
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
a. Install check valve (6).
(1) Lubricate new packing (10). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(2) Install packing (10) on pad (11).
NOTE
Valve side marked UP must be installed
up.
(3) Aline mounting holes of valve (6) with mount-
ing holes of pad (11).
(4) Install six bolts (8) and washers (9).
