10.22.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.22.5. Inspection
a. Check threads of ratchet sleeve for damage
and missing teeth (para 10.1).
b. Check shutoff valve connector for cracks,
nicks, or scratches (para 10.1).
10.22.6. Installation
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
a. Install hose (7).
(1) Lubricate threads of connector (13). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(2) Install connector (13) on adapter (14).
(3) Turn connector (13) until seated and locking
teeth engage with adapter (14).
