FORWARD FUEL CELL REFUELING HOSE REPLACEMENT – continued
b. Install hose (7) on valve (8).
(1) Lubricate new gasket (11) on both sides. Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(2) Place gasket (11) on valve (8).
(3) Place flange of hose (7) on valve (8). Aline
mounting bolt holes.
(4) Install four bolts (9) and washers (10).
CAUTION
Position and locate clamps so that hoses
will not contact and chafe each other.
c. Install clamps (1), (2), and (3).
(1) Install clamp (1) on hose (7).
(2) Position and hold clamp (1) around hose (7),
clamp (2) around hose (15), and clamp (3)
around hose (16).
(3) Install screw (6) through clamps (1), (2), and
(3) and washer (5).
(4) Install nut (4) on screw (6).
d. Inspect (QA).
e. Install forward fuel cell aft access panel and
aft cover (para 10.8).
f. Perform pressure refueling/defueling mainte-
nance operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
