FORWARD FUEL CELL LOWER VENT TUBE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
10.24.3. Removal
a. Remove forward fuel cell vent tube (1) from
forward fuel cell upper vent tube (2) on trans-
mission deck (3).
(1) Unlatch and remove retainer (4).
(2) Slide body (5) upward on tube (2).
(3) Remove and discard two packings (6) from
tubes (1) and (2).
(4) Remove body (5) from tube (2).
b. Remove tube (1) from tube (7) in ammunition
bay.
(1) Hold fitting (8). Remove nut (9).
NOTE
Removal of screws in the following step
also releases washers, spacers, and
clamps.
c. Remove wire harness (10) and upper vent
tube clamp (11) from vent tube (1).
(1) Remove sealer from screw (12).
(2) Remove two screws (12), washers (13),
spacers (14), clamp halves (11), bonding
jumper (15), spacers (16), wire harness
clamps (17), and washers (18).
(3) Remove clamp (11) from tube (1).
