FORWARD FUEL CELL LOWER VENT TUBE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
e. Install tube (1) from transmission deck (3) to
tube (2).
(1) Place body (5) on lower end of tube (2).
(2) Lubricate two new packings (6). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(3) Install two packings (6) on tubes (1) and (2).
(4) Center body (5) over packings (6).
(5) Install retainer (4) over body (5). Ensure safe-
ty spring (26) is fully locked.
f. Inspect (QA).
g. Perform pressure refueling/defueling mainte-
nance operational check (TM 1-1520-238-T).
h. Install access panel L200 (para 2.2).
i. Install carrier drive and ammunition storage
magazine (TM 9-1090-208-23).
