FORWARD FUEL CELL REMOVAL – continued
10.28.3. Removal
a. Remove access cover (1) from transmission
deck (2).
(1) Remove fillet seal from around cover (1).
(2) Remove seven screws (3) and packings with
retainers (4). Discard seven packings with re-
tainers (4).
(3) Remove two screws (4.1), washers (4.2),
clamps (4.3), and spacers (4.4) from cover
(1).
(4) Remove grommet and wire harness (5) from
slot in cover (1).
b. Remove filler neck (6) and ground strap (7)
from fuel cell (8).
(1) Remove sealant from bolt (9) that attaches
grounding strap (7).
(2) Remove six bolts (9), washers (10), and
grounding strap (7).
