FUEL TRANSFER SHUTOFF VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION – continued
c. Detach electrical connector P251 (1) from re-
ceptacle (L17)J1 (2).
CAUTION
Jet fuel will cause external surface of fuel
cell to swell, delaminate, and leak if al-
lowed to contact the fuel cell more than
72 HOURS. Keep jet fuel away from the
outside of fuel cells.
d. Unlatch and remove retainer (3).
e. Slide body (4) on refuel hose (5).
f. Remove fuel transfer shutoff valve (6) from
mounting bracket (7).
(1) Remove four bolts (8) and 12 washers (9).
(2) Remove fitting (10) from valve (6).
(3) Remove and discard two packings (11) from
valve (6).
(4) Remove and discard two packings (12) from
hose (5) and fitting (10).
(5) Remove body (4) from hose (5).
10.74.4. Cleaning
a. Wipe removed and attaching parts with a
clean rag.
10.74.5. Inspection
a. Check refuel hose and transfer valve fitting
for cracks, distortions, looseness, chafing,
and excessive wear (para 10.1).
