FORWARD REFUELING HOSE REPLACEMENT – continued
c. Install hose (5) on fitting (12).
(1) Place body (17) on fitting (12).
(2) Lubricate two new packings (18). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(3) Install packings (18) on hose (5) and fitting
(12).
(4) Center body (17) over packings (18).
(5) Position retainer (14) around body (17).
(6) Latch retainer (14). Ensure safety spring (19)
is fully locked.
d. Install hose (5) on fitting (13).
(1) Place body (16) on hose (5).
(2) Lubricate two new packings (18). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(3) Install two packings (18) on hose (5) and fit-
ting (13).
(4) Center body (16) over packings (18).
(5) Position retainer (15) around body (16).
(6) Latch retainer (15). Ensure safety spring (20)
is fully locked.
