FORWARD REFUELING HOSE REPLACEMENT – continued
CAUTION
To prevent damage to fuel line connec-
tors, do not intermix couplings or parts
that are similar but made by different
manufacturers.
b. Install coupling nut (7) on coupling body (8).
(1) Install two washers (11) on ferrules (19) and
(20).
(2) Lubricate two new packings (10). Use
petrolatum (item 138, App F).
(3) Install packings (10) on ferrules (19) and (20).
(4) Install retainer halves (9) over ferrules (19)
and (20) and between packings (10).
(5) Lubricate threads of body (8). Use petrolatum
(item 138, App F).
(6) Slide and hold nut (7) over retainer (9).
(7) Hand tighten nut (7) on body (8).
